Agreed.
"Refusing to dial 911, and watch people raped and murdered, while you wait for help, does not make you a vigilante."
Agree absolutely.
"Every damn time I hear someone say, dont take the law in your own hands, as if it is an absolute, Ive got to ask where they got that idea. It isnt supposed to be an American philosophy."
Agreed. My philosophy is, where there is no law, you are the law. Always was, always will be.
My point was that the sheriff is the highest legitimate law enforcement person in town, is a civilian, is non-federal and is answerable to those who elect him. He needs the support and assistance of all good Citizens in times of crisis.
Like I said, Plan A. If that fails, well that's another plan.
Biggest fear I ever had in my life was that we would really need a revolution, and I would be too damned old to see the sights on my rifle, that has about come to pass, I’ll just have to shoot at the noise and stink! Dead? Hell, almost been there, done that, a couple of times, ain’t no big deal, right now I’m dealing for my grandson.
He hit 15 today, my gift to him was my cherished old Kabar, an Arkansas hone, and a can of honing oil. I would have rather raised poets than warriors, but, maybe my grandson can take up poetry later, if he lives long enough.
I am going to die, the future, for me, is what I leave behind me. I can’t take anything with me, what I leave has got to be my best!
