Funny how the left has fits about the mere idea that the government might look into whether certain people have borrowed certain government owned books from government run libraries, but they have no problem with allowing anyone to find who what individuals ever privately owned any gun that may have later been used in a crime. Never mind that the gun in question may have been legally sold or stolen, and the previous owner had nothing to do with committing the crime. Unlike jihadis reading up on nuclear or chemical engineering, gunowners have no civil rights.
