I have always been enamoured of this photo. It's as if the soul of every Jew is gazing through their eyes, with 1900 years of hope realized. Their faces reflect the essence of the lyrics of Hatikva.
THE HOPE
As long as deep within the heart
A Jewish soul stirs,
And forward, to the ends of the East
An eye looks out, towards Zion.
Our hope is not yet lost,
The hope of two thousand years,
To be a free people in our land
The land of Zion and Jerusalem.
That is probably my favorite photo from the Six Day War!
