JUST ONE STATION: Firefighters in Boston become victims of road rage

BOSTON -- The Boston Fire Department is fired up after two of their own are attacked on the job.

Investigators said the pair was assaulted around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night by a group of teens at 525 Main St.

Christopher Corwin was helping a tractor-trailer driver, who stopped by the firehouse asking for directions. As Corwin and another firefighter, Danny Donahoe, were directing traffic so that the tractor-trailer could turn around, occupants in one of the stopped cars grew argumentative about having to wait.

The four suspects then reportedly jumped out of the car and beat the victims with baseball bats. They also allegedly used their hands, feet and teeth to attack the pair.

"They were in a hurry," Corwin said. "They said get 'out of the way.' And I said, 'give the guy a minute, he's gotta turn around.' And the next thing you know he got out of the car and coming at me. And I can't be really on the offensive being in uniform and stuff, so you back away a little bit."

The firefighters were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with head injuries, as well as cuts and bruises.

Anyone with information on the alleged attackers is asked to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 1-800-494-TIPS or the Boston Police Department.

The suspects will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Its way past time for sensible baseball bat regulations. No reason for the average citizen to own one - only professional baseball players really need to own a baseball bat.

A gang of directionless, habitually destructive, fatherless, black savages with a you-owe-me mentality enabled by self-hating Massachusetts white liberals.
