Could Microsoft get any more liberal than THIS?! If Microsoft wants to side with fascist PETAheads and fascist ARAs, then they have the right, but I have the right to stop using their products and funding their socialist liberal agendas by switching to Mac and/or even Linux.

Macintosh is just as liberal, if not more.

HSUS is a lobby organization. By their name, many people think that they are your local animal shelter - for strays, lost animals, etc.

General Mills

General Mills made it onto my Permanent Boycott list for something they did in the late 90s. It's a little more difficult with Microsoft because my employer gives us Windows machines, but my home system is Kubuntu Linux and does all I need from it. Highly unlikely we'll be adding more Microsoft boxes.

a manifesto that targets hunting for extinction

Without all those hunters and fisherman there would be a lot more land available for condos and strip malls though.

My wife used to do the books for the local branch of the Humane Society. They have no compunction about killing dogs and cats by the thousands.

Now only if the liberal groups can get animals to stop eating and/or harassing other animals.

If they can get lions and tigers feeling guilty for eating the gazelle, and stop them from doing so, then I might reconsider my feelings about eating meat. Might even consider it if they can get bears and such from attacking people who don’t want to be bothered. Tell the bears it’s morally wrong for them to go after the food basket locked in my car at the campground. See if they listen to you.

We’re part of the food chain. Man is part of nature. We have to feel bad because we’re the smartest creature on the planet? Does the lion in the bush, who is the top predator there, should they feel bad killing a human out there? One on one we can’t win against certain animals. Are they supposed to not kill us because it’s morally wrong to kill animals weaker than yourself/less able to defend themselves?

We should be biblical stewards of what we have, but we should also be able to use what we have stewardship over.

It is true that in the beginning, all the animals ate green plants and people ate fruits and greens (herbs, etc). That was expanded after the flood to be able to eat meat. We’re not going to be vegetarians (if we have to eat anything at all) again until the Good Lord comes back.

Penguins are predatory birds, thus Linux is a hunter-friendly OS.

The best way to deal with this is to sign up for a discount broker account (like Etrade, or similar), buy one share of MSFT and then submit a shareholder’s resolution to the Board for inclusion on the agenda of the next annual meeting. All shareholders will get the list of all resolutions and will be asked to vote on them.

While you are a shareholder, you can also send mail to Bill Gates. I don’t know how Gates responds, but many CEOs do read mail from shareholders.

Rather than lobby to take choices away from others, it seems more consistent with the ideals of conservatism to work to ensure that conservatives got the same opportunity that greenie-weenie liberals get.
