There really is no conflict in anything that I wrote. At first, I wanted to point out to them how horrific what so many are just glibly passing around as a final solution to the illegal immigration problem, by calling it what it is: ethnic cleansing. Has that ever crossed any of their minds?

Is it collective insanity? Sadism? Is it real racism?

And the knee jerk response is since I don’t support rounding up and expelling 15 million people that I am somehow anti-American? Since when do Americans do shit like that? And yes, the expletive is very appropriate. Americans go to WAR to STOP shit like that in other countries.

There HAS to be a better way. But it is not simple, easy to understand, or as emotionally gratifying to many as “Round ‘em up and kick ‘em out!”

Good Lord, can you imagine people so glibly suggesting that “we” do that to black Americans? “They’re African, so they should be sent back to Africa.”

And then they say that they should be kicked out because “They are criminals”. And as I pointed out, NO, THEY ARE NOT. And why do they think this somehow justifies what they are thinking and saying? “It’s o.k. to brutally eject 15 million men, women and children because they are ‘criminals’.” That is some pretty twisted rationalization.

But NONE of this means that I either want illegal immigration, or want foreign enclaves in the US. But I had to explain that, too.

There are a lot of very crappy people here, on this issue.

So I have given explanations and alternatives. Something that should be done on this forum.

And I think of myself as a HELL of a lot better American than anyone who says “Round ‘em up and throw ‘em out.” People with that attitude should be kicked out of the country first. They have no place here.

A direct question to you.

Did you write Message #6? It doesn’t sound like your other messages.

More questions, brought up by your User ID.

Are you an American?

Do you live in the U.S. or in Mexico?

Very, very few are saying “round them up and throw them out”. We are saying seal the borders and enforcement FIRST. This bill pays lip service to it but does nothing toward those ends.

They will either self deport or we will deal with the ones who remain.

Final Solution? Ethnic Cleansing? No, it would be ethnic cleansing if we obliterated all people of Hispanic origin from our shores, and I haven’t heard anyone suggest that. We are talking specifically about people who are here illegally, using resources paid for by taxpayers, and sending a large amount of money collectively our of our country to their homeland.

A friend of mine at work just became an American citizen. He is originally from Great Britain, and is an intelligent and highly skilled individual in a highly technical field. In fact, he is the resident guru in our company for his field of expertise.

It took him 12 years of jumping through all the bureaucratic hoops and I have no idea what he had to spend monetarily. During the process, he regularly told me and other coworkers of all the nonsense he had to go through to reach his goal of citizenship. Nevertheless, he is proud to be an American at long last.

This ‘Amnesty Bill’ is a slap in the face of all people like my friend who endured the frustration and expense of a long, drawn-out process in order to ‘do it right’
