This newly released survey summarizes the charisma and the potential of Fred Thompson's candidacy. Virtually half of the universe of registered voters in the nation have not heard of him (only 51% have heard of Thompson), yet in some polls such as Rasmussen he is now only trailing Rudolph Giuliani nationally by 6%, even with this handicap of low name recognition.
As time goes on more and more votes get to know him Thompson has a good chance of becoming the nominee who will defeat Democrats (again) in 2008.

Only 51%? Well, they’ll tell the remaining 49%, of course.... :)

Well .. that’s only because people don’t know his real name, but when you tell them he’s on Law & Order - THEY KNOW HIM AND THEY RELATE TO HIM AND LIKE HIM.
So .. this is just the typical hit from the left.

and if you showed them a picture lineup of Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, and Ron Paul, 90% would say who are they....
and after you told them their names, 80% would say and what do they do?

Didn’t FOX report a month ago that only 5% knew who he was?

I bet the percentage of voters who would know him is well above 51%.

37% of the Republican and Republican-leaning voters who have heard of Thompson say there is a “good chance” they will support him. This is equal to the level of support Giuliani receives from GOP voters who have heard of him, and reflects far more enthusiasm than any of the other Republican candidates garner

But what will the voters know, and when will they know it?

The media once stated to Colin Powell that only 10% could point to Iraq on the map. Colin said without a beat (paraphrasing), thank God this per cent is the military.

The primaries work against Democrats; because they have to please their insane base. They essentially set themselves up with a platform that just won’t work for the public.
I think Fred has a great chance.

I never watched his TV show so I only know him from FR. I watched him on Hannity last night and I really liked what I heard. The man has powerful appeal.

Fred has the kind of voice that when you hear it, you stop and listen. It is commanding, yet soothing. It is “fatherly” without being threatening. It engenders confidence in the listener. I think that is what has made him a good actor. He is cast in leadership roles in television and movies because of this voice. I also think he will make him a winner in 2008. The 40% in the mushy middle by in large vote for the person that appeals to them the most on a personal level. Fred will win that battle hands down against any opponent on his right or left. Literally and figuratively speaking, he fits the role of President. If he wins and surrounds himself with a good cabinet, he will be a most beloved and respected President.

According to Dimocrat math 51% is a landslide...a mandate...so far Fred looks like he is doing just fine.

Thompson shows how much folks dislike the Republican candidates. He isn’t even running and most Thompson backers i’ve met don’t even know what he stands for and still prefer him over RINO Rudy, Crazy John, and Flip-Flopping Mitt.
