Fears for tourists as Eta ends its ceasefire

Spain is bracing itself for a fresh wave of terrorism after the Basque separatist group Eta called off its 15-month ceasefire last night and gave warning of "new attacks" on all fronts.

The group said the truce would end at midnight last night because of "arrests, tortures and every type of persecution" by the Socialist government.

Police said that the group could now target airports, bus and train stations - busy hubs for the country's tourist industry as well as its commuters.

Spain is a great place to visit. I loved Segovia, Sevilla and Toledo. I would not let terrorists deny my that joy. I went to Egypt after Klinghoffer was murdered by terrorists. No problem. Lightening can strike at any time.
