find it really interesting that Romney is the one who has mostly been on the receiving end of the "attack dog" type of questions--both in this debate and in the last one. I have my theory on this. I think that CNN, being the liberal cheerleader it is, suspects that Romney could wipe the walls with whomever is the Democratic nominee

He's probably doing better in internal polls than the media wants to admit.

You could be right. The MSM seems to be in love with national polls, but national polls are all about name recognition. This is an automatic handicap for Romney when he's stacked up against well-known names like Giuliani, McCain and Thompson, but when you look at the polls on a state-by-state level, he's gained tremendous momentum. Why? Because in those states where he's out there making himself known on a personal level, he's connecting with his audiences in a big way and I think that's why the MSM is ignoring the state polling. Romney scares the pants off of the MSM and the Democrats.
