I take issue with your argument, not because it's wrong, it's not, but because it let's the claim stand that CO2 causes global warming.

If CO2 really causes warming, then they have a point. But if it doesn't they need to go pound sand ....

CO2 concentrations of 200ppm, 300ppm or 400ppm doesn't matter, all absorb 100% of the Infra Red in its absorption spectrum well before that heat escapes out into space. As an analogy hold a sheet of paper up in front of a light bulb. You can see light through it can't you. Now hold up two sheets some light still gets through. Three sheets? Well at some point it doesn't matter. More sheets of paper won't hold back any more light. Same is true with CO2. Higher concentrations don't hold back anymore heat.

I make the statement because they think man made CO2 is causing global warming and I wanted to point out that it is absurd because of the numbers.

I honestly don't really care what is causing it, I know we are not and that we can not stop it. To force the world economy into a tailspin, not use the abundant coal we have, and implement socialism and confiscation of wealth for this is crazy.
