How did this writer and editor pass?”

Chronologically, he was moved from year to year because of the edumacator’s favorite doctrine of ‘chronological advancement’.

For those not being members of a teachers union, ‘chronological advancement’ means “another year older, another grade above, on the long the road to functional illiteracy”.
