“For many, embryonic stem cell research is the most promising source of potential treatments and cures” for debilitating disease, said Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo., the bill’s leading advocate.

Gee Diana, since adult stem cell research has yielded promising results in treatment of over 70 diseases while embryonic stem cell research has shown ZERO promise (and has actually resulted in tumors that could become cancerous), the only conclusion I can reach is that you are a misinformed IDIOT, or a deliberate LIAR. Either way, your constituents should replace you at their earliest opportunity.

Attention Rep. Diana DeGette, D-Colo and other assorted dingbats:

If embroynic stem cell research showed promise, as you claim, industry would be funding it. They are not, even though there are no laws preventing them from doing so.

The fact that they aren't funding it is all we need to know.

But you and your dingbat friends aren't just interested in pouring taxpayer money down yet another rathole. Your real interest is in rubbing the noses of pro-lifers in the dirt.

If you spent half the energy raising money for this "cause" that you do politicizing it, you'd have all the money researchers could reasonably waste.

DeGette didn’t read the Washington Post article about “mouse skin yields stem cells” and further scientists are saying “they’ve converted mouse skin cells into the apparent equivalent of embryonic stem cells, avoiding the use of embryos altogether.”

Isn’t privately funded stem cell research already happening in this country? Aren’t other countries already researching them. Where are the cures?
