ALARM - Bush, indisposed without gravity in G8, maintains her program
HEILIGENDAMM (Germany) - president George W. Bush suffered Friday morning from a light indisposition of the stomach at the top of G8, but of nothing low register, and was to turn over as quickly as possible to its activities without changing its program, indicated the White House.
My prayers for the President.
My thoughts go out to OUR President.
As long as he doesn’t barf on a Prime Minister or President or something...like Daddy did.
Not exactly a pleasant memory of International Relations.
Even so, I hope he’s okay. Between the travelling and the food, it’ll sure do a number on you.
PUTIN! / Sorry couldn’t resist...
Seriously, my Prayers for the President’s well-being. Maybe he can’t stomach some of the German food.
Or, maybe, he had just learned that the treasonous Senate Amnesty Bill (S. 1348) got shelved!
Yesterday evening, the President enjoyed beer (maybe alc-free) at the summit. And this morning, he has already met with Sarkozy for one hour.
Stuff like this is usually not reported. I truly hope it is nothing serious. The President is a good man, even if he is misguided on some issues. Prayers.
Prayers for our President.
I hate to see a man’s enjoyment of a cold one get used against him...
It’s Bush’s chef’s fault!
Bummer. I’ve had the same problem recently, so I can empathize. Blech.
I will pray for his healing and that it is nothing more than a tummy virus.
That is an enjoyably eclectic translation :0)
Is it possible you´re over-reacting? All I proved is, that he was fine yesterday, and I added, that he has already met the French President today in his private rooms of the Hotel.
The next time someone asks “Ein weiteres Knockwurst, Herr President,” the answer is “Nein.”
Late night Ping!
Too much mit der schnitzel, ya.
Didn’t his dad barf all over the Japanese Prime Minister?
Seems the apple didn’t fall very far from the tree.
Now that was funny.
At most, it's interesting in a gossipy sort of way, because quitting drinking on his 40th birthday was part of his bio in 2000 (what pundits hall his "story"). I've seen photos and video from other events where he was sipping something with a yellowish color -- clearly not water, and looked like white wine to me. Early in his presidency, he made a point of toasting with water.
I've seen no indication, even in the most hard-left rumor mill, that Bush has gotten intoxicated at any point in his presidency. Certainly, few of our presidents have been tee-totallers. So again, it's a mildly interesting bit og gossip, of no real importance or relevance.
I keep expecting this threat to take a turn for the Wurst.
Yeah. If he suddenly lost gravity, that would explain the illness. Why do you think they call the NASA training plane the "vomit comet"?
Then why mention it?
Let’s hope that little “not serious” illness isn’t the same one that the Russian spy got. Or the Ukranian president, for that matter.
Jeez, I don't trust any of those freaks over there, and the man just spent time with (ras)Putin. That could be dangerous to anyone's health.
Let’s hope it’s not Dioxin. Anyone see him having soup with PuteyPoo?
Saw a pic of him enjoying a cold one.
It looks like “Buckler”, a non-alcoholic beverage produced by Heineken.
Better run a check for Polonium.
“llness Sidelines Bush at G-8 Summit”
By JENNIFER LOVEN 06.08.07, 3:53 AM ET
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “President Bush came down with a stomach ailment Friday at the G-8 summit in Germany and is resting in his room.
“I’m not sure if it’s a stomach virus yet or something like that,” Dan Bartlett, counselor to the president told reporters. “He’s just not feeling well in his stomach,”
Although ill, the president did meet for an hour with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, but, as a precaution, the meeting took place in Bush’s private room.
“The president felt that they established a real personal rapport,” Bartlett said, adding that they discussed s myriad of issues, including Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Darfur, trade and missile defense.
Dr. Richard Tubb, Bush’s doctor, is monitoring the president’s health, Bartlett said.”
“Counselor: Bush stomach ailment ‘not serious’”
Associated Press - June 8, 2007 4:33 AM ET
HEILIGENDAMM, Germany (AP) -
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Dan Bartlett has told reporters Bush has an upset stomach but he’s not sure if it’s a virus or something the president ate that didn’t agree with him.
Aides say Bush was dressed and about to meet with France’s new president this morning when he realized how sick he felt. A doctor was called, Bush scrubbed an appearance at a summit session and France’s President Nicholas Sarkozy came to see him.
Bartlett says Bush is going ahead with a visit to Poland.”
No, but kind of humorous after the fact, really. ;-)
(Buckler is an alcohol-free brand)
There was also some tin-foil stuff in there because his dog Millie developed the same symptoms (Graves Disease) around that time.
Hope it's nothing serious, Mr. President.
