The reason I posted this particular article about DEMOCRAT Rep. William Jefferson is to point out how CNN goes out of their way to avoid using the term "Democrat" in association with this corrupt Democrat, Rep.(D) William Jefferson.
The link from CNN's frontpage says: "Indicted lawmaker: 'I am absolutely innocent.'" No mention of him being a Democrat. The title of the article has no mention of him being a Democrat and the opening paragraph has no mention of him being a Democrat: "Rep. William Jefferson." It should be Rep. (D) William Jefferson with a "D!"
Amazing!

What do you expect from CNN after all of these years ... seriously? They are handling this matter no differently than any other story about a democrat.
Jefferson says he's absolutely innocent ... he just likes his cash cool. Sheesh, who believes this stuff?

'I am absolutely innocent.' Furthermore, I am the only innocent politician you will ever meet.

I read that his nickname has been “Dollar Bill” since his political career began. This guy is a smooth operator. He is accustomed to getting away with a lot or he wouldn’t have used government trucks and helicopters to go to his house when people were on roofs waiting to be rescued in NO. If I remember, the truck fot stuck in his yard and they had to send a helicopter to get him. I guess he was afraid the money in his freezer would thaw.

who wants to bet that he will get less time than scooter libby?Call me optimistic and unrealistic but I'll take that bet. It won't be a D.C. jury and this indictment is bigger than Ney's, Cunningham's, and Traficant's combined.

Actually, that happened to me when I was a kid. I was hungry and "borrowed" some cookies in the pantry. Stuffed them in my mouth and ran outside. And wouldn't you know it, here comes my mother back from the grocery store wanting to chat with me...
and it all went downhill from there...
