It is the height of depravity to attack personally an Iraqi war veteran for wanting to do all he can do to stop the financing of terrorism. FSM Contributing Editor Chris Holton alerts us to craven politicians on both sides of the aisle who are trying to stop him from doing just that. Read this and your blood will boil!
Help Ohio Fight Terrorists On The Financial Front
By Chris Holton
Josh Mandel is a Marine Sergeant who recently returned from a combat tour in Iraq.
He is also a State Representative in his home state of Ohio.
When Josh returned from Iraq, he was horrified to discover that Ohio's public pension systems invest millions of dollars in foreign companies that do business with the radical Islamist regime in Iran. So, he introduced a bill to stop it.
Since then he has been subject to personal attacks by liberals in the Teachers' unions and a shameless lack of support from even key Republicans who are tied to business interests who want to do business with the Ayatollahs.
Even so, Josh's bill, with no amendments, passed through committee this week and heads to the floor on June 12th.
We urge you to email and call the leaders in the Ohio Assembly to tell them what you think they should do about this bill, HB 151. Their contact information is below:

The Ohio General Assembly has been far too busy making war on smokers and exotic dancers to concern itself with inadvertently funding terrorists who want to cut off our heads and kill our troops.
Kudos to Rep. Josh Mandel for singlehandedly pulling the Assembly’s head out of the sand.
