I just received a private FReepmail from a well-known person who says he is leaving FR because of all the hate.

So here’s my rant:

NOBODY IS GOING TO DRIVE ME AWAY FROM FR - NOBODY!

What people don’t understand is - this is a GAME.

Here’s how the game works: an “alleged FReeper” (AF) enters any thread and drops a bomb. This may be any form of intolerance, or any form of ridicule, or any form of hate. Immediately .. other FReepers will attack. Soon, other AF will join in with the first AF.

The object of the game: To drop a bomb and watch the FReepers explode. If the explosion isn’t big enough, more AF will join in the game. Eventually .. if you wait long enough .. it’s only the exploding FReepers who are left on the thread.

What are the AF doing .. sitting back and watching and ROTFLTAO!! [rolling on the floor laughing their ass off]

I never allow anybody to chase me off a thread! NEVER!! I usually answer any bomb with ROTFLOL! [rolling on the floor laughing out loud]. That has the effect of disarming them - and - if you pay attention - you’ll notice it’s some of the same crowd who always try to play this game. I used to keep a running list of those disruptors - and that’s how I discovered it was the same group most of the time.

These AF are not FReepers .. they’re from DU or MoveOn and this website is just a place for them to play their litle games.

However .. as soon as the AF’s figure out you know what they’re up to - Wheeeeeeee! They’re gone in a flash - only to resurface on another thread and see if they can stir up trouble there.

I’m sorry people didn’t figure out how to play the game.

The AF have been doing this since 2000 - they were the original Bush-bashers.

I am actually the person who discovered this little “game” and alerted other FReepers on the thread (by private mail). Pretty soon .. it was easy to spot these idiots and stop their game.

NOW .. WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU GOING TO DO .. HIDE IN THE CORNER; COWER TO THESE IDIOTS .. OR ARE YOU GOING TO DISH IT RIGHT BACK AT THEM AND BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME ..??

WE HAVE A LOT AT STAKE IN 2008 - AND WE’D BETTER WAKE UP TO THIS GAME THE LEFT IS PLAYING ON US AND STOP BACK-BITING EACH OTHER - OR WE WILL FIND OUT HILLARY IS PRESIDENT - which is a most sickening thought.

It’s been said by several here .. The President is doing what he thinks is right .. I just don’t agree with him but I do understand his heart for these people even if I don’t agree with his method of dealing with it. I pray for him everyday - as we all should be doing - because prayers are “words full of power”.

Let’s not allow the left to continue to attack FR and those of us who enjoy the exchange of ideas we find here.

I’ve been suspicious, myself. Some posters are calling President Bush “Dumbya” and “Shrub”. That is straight out of the DU and DailyKos handbook. I see the vitriol, and I have been just scrolling on by, biting my “tongue”.

I hate to see this forum—that has always been a little oasis for me living in LiberalLand—going the way of DU. Even the language has gotten so raw. Every thread turns into a Bush-bash and it is very disheartening to me.

Well .. “Shrub” was one of the original names the group in 2000 used. I hated it .. but I would always laugh at them and that used to make them really mad .. so mad they would leave the thread.

That’s what more of us need to do. Just laugh at them - because they’re just a bunch of juvenile idiots.

And .. just for your info .. “Shrub” was what the former Gov of TX used to call GW. I thought it was so disrespectful and classless .. but she was a taudry democrat and her language fit her. Hillary has the same filthy mouth.

Don’t allow these “alleged FReepers” to destroy your enjoyment of this website. The real FReepers are fun, bright, have an enormous sense of humor; plus they’re helpful, and ready to pray at a moment’s notice.

And .. I always report “raw” language. Don’t hesitate using the abuse button .. that’s what it’s there for. We can weed out a lot of these people by getting them banned for using bad language. I’ll discuss anything with anybody .. but when they start calling me names .. I’m done with the conversation.
