War and immigration, again, with a special emphasis on the notion that it's all Bush's fault (again).
no attempt at analysis or ever research this week. I've had a full week at the MS Tech Ed conference plus trying to squeeze in an hour here or there with my family at one of the parks. Yesterday evening and all day today we're doing SeaWorld on our way out of town. Right now I'm typing this from the patio of Mango Joe's cafe while we wait for the kids to come back from one roller coaster or another. Alas Babylon! and I did get together for a couple of drive by howdy sessions, but a llittle thing called the Space Shuttle blew our plans for Friday night as Dave wanted to see that. I see from his thread that they made it. We watched it from Shamu stadium and it was spectacular, even from 40 miles away. The one advantage we had was a 60 foot video screen to watch NASA TV of the launch we were seeing live over the tops of the buildings to our east. Pretty amazing. We were even treated to real near levels of sound from their sound system in the stadium.
I'll leave it at that.
The shows look good and we get two doses of Tony Snow. All is right in the world if that ever happens. On one appearance he'll have Turban Durbin telling us how the White House hates immigrants and didn't do enough to get the bill approved while Joe Lieberman will likely castigate the White House for being too easy on border security. Tony knew what he was getting into when he took the gig.
Mark Kilmer has posted his preview over at RedState.

The lefties do have their stalking points and do stick to them. From their standpoint the only “good war out there” is Afghanistan for some reason.I never really did understand that one, but then who understands the emotionally based rats anyway!

I don’t hate the President and I am sure as hell not going to start bashing him at this point. He needs our support worse than ever now. But, I simply can not tell you how disappointed I am both on the border security issue and on not pardoning Scooter.

I hope you rethink the pardon issue; I would expect that Libby DOES NOT YET WANT ONE. He needs to run the course of appeals to clear his name; if he is unsuccessful he will be pardoned. In the meantime, I hope you are reading the other threads about what is going on regarding the concept for a respite and the upcoming appeals hearing next week.

We sure did, we led the way for talk radio and they let the bureaucrats have it. They are probably still smarting from the deluge they got about securing the border first and no amnesty. By the way they deserved everything they got.

You are way ahead of me Laverne. I work so much I miss 90% of what goes on here. I Just don’t want to see Scooter do any jail time if possible.

Right after the Scooter’s trial the President’s people said clearly they would wait for the appeal to work it way thru the system. I don’t think Conservative should be urging that Presidents start casually overturning decision of the legal system because they disagree with the results. It would establish a bad precedent for following Presidents.

I just cannot figure why Tony Snow is out there. People should know when they are beat.
