Calm your temper down. Some here, including myself, think Mr. Gomsi is properly compensated for the line of work that he does. $150K is not a lot of money for a scientist. And adding in the fact that he has to manage about 50 people, $150K is on the low end for compensation. Your couterexample of the superintendent of schools is disingenuous. Everyone knows that schools are on the low end of the pay scale. You could have compared this position to any scientific or engineering firm that had the same number of employees, but you did not because you knew the outcome would not be as big of a contrast.

If the SKOOL system could get their work done with just 59 tax sucking workers, I’d give the super 500 grand a year.

60 vacation each year?
A typical work year has 260 work days, with sick days, holidays, personal... and conferences it may be hard to find time to do whatever he does?
FWIW my personal pay scheme has ZERO paid days off.

I didn't compare anything to anything. I posted the article. That is how it is done here on FR, I think. We post an article. Then comment follows.

As for Mr. Gomsi, his behavior is indefensible. The issue is not Gomsi's salary or the work the agency does. The issue is the lavishness at which this board operates, the waste and abuse of the taxpayers money.

Every dollar wasted is one that should be spent on services. Instead it is spent on $7,000 trips to Lake Tahoe. It's called corruption and it is killing America.
