Can’t understand why McCain appears at all. He offers nothing - unless one wants to claim ‘amnesty’ as something.

You can’t speak here about Rudy being different than liberals; otherwise, you wish be hounded with hatred by those with ‘values’.

At this point in time name recognition is driving the polls. I believe this is why McQueeg is still getting poll numbers. The candidates are currently spending time and money in Iowa and New Hampshire right now. The polls in those states may be more indicative of how the race is going.

Ron Paul has support. Keep in mind that these polls are worthless, because most people use cell phones and the polling groups don’t call them. That’s why Paul’s Internet poll numbers are high. Younger, college-educated folks who normally don’t pay attention to politics are intrigued at his message, and are supporting him in droves.

Even on abortion, he is about identical to Bush and Reagan, who signed the first law legalizing abortion in California.

After all McCain has done, and he still gets 19%? Who are these McCain supporters?

Huckabee and Brownback are the only second tier candidates registering on this poll. Although, there is some value in having Gilmore, T. Thompson, Hunter, et. al in the debates, eventually, I would like to see the more serious candidates debate together.

Note that they only asked Republicans. I'd like to see a similar poll of voters who are not in the two major parties.

I don’t know if anyone out there lived in NY while Rudy was Mayor...

I know someone who did. He was a law-abiding handgun licensee, and Rudy revoked his permit (and thousands of others for no reason.

I’d rather Hillary win than Rudy.

He could do far more damage to the Republic than she could.
