What you are failing to consider is that any “compromise” is a loss to conservatives. It seems rather fatalistic to accept the fact that conservatives must fight a losing battle. The Republic has been pecked away, compromise by compromise, and so you are simply arguing that it is lost anyway, so let’s just make it a known rate of failure.

FReeper kayak who passed away recently used to have a quote up from Reagan about how upset his supporters were in California when he was Governor about the compromises he had made.

There’s no question that some compromises shouldn’t be made, but it doesn’t mean that none should either.

Agreed! This isn’t just a conservative or republican issue. This is an issue that strikes at the heart of every true American. The is Patriotism and it effects every citizen in this great United States!

Gondring, fighting a good fight is always important. It’s also important to fight honorably and the right didn’t present itself well.

It may be recoverable, or not. We don’t know at this point.
