What's amazing to me about this is, the Patriot Act requires a SS# or proof legal residency (W-8) in your home country when you apply, or get a loan. Furthermore, PROOF of residency with a valid "ID" is required with issue and expiration dates!
My source is from working at a bank knowing what the BSA and Patriot Act require to set up any account.
No one seems to mention all the local governments who have declared themselves "sanctuary cities" or some such. If local gov'ts can defy federal law with apparent impunity, why should businesses feel any more bound?
