I hate to say this, but I think these bums are going to be successful this time in ramming this karp down our throats, or if not this time, then next time or the time after. They are going to wait until their opponents all tired out, then push it through.

They could always do like the PA legislature — pass tax increases for us and pay raises for themselves in the middle of the night when no one (i.e., the media) is around.

I’m just pizzed — at the whole lot of them...from the President on down, Republcan and Democrat. Even more pizzed at the spineless Republican presidential hopefuls, none of which will take a firm stand on this issue. What is do dammmmm hard about seizing and deporting the illegasl and securing our borders?

The immigration issue isnt about race. Its about an alien invasion across open borders.

Perhaps Feinstein and others are getting some racist letters. Perhaps she is getting a lot of racist letters. She should remember this, RACISTS VOTE TOO ,and enough of them combined with patriots who just want the borders closed and America protected from this invasion might just put your Hoyty Toyty little California butt out of a job.

Hello Tony Snow, yes or no, is there any truth to the following....

1. Awards Amnesty — Offers amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.

2. A Favor to Mexico’s Government — Amnesty deal follows the U.S.-Mexico Social Security Totalization Agreement.

3. Cuts Border Security in Half — Last Congress, we promised the American people 700 miles of fence and today only two miles of that fence have been constructed. What’s even more troubling is that this new amnesty sellout is going to cut that border security promise in half to less than 400 miles of fence.

4. That’s Trillion with a “T” — Heritage Foundation President Robert Rector estimates the total cost of the bill to be in the trillions of dollars.

5. No Assimilation Required — There is no requirement that illegal immigrants know a word of English to get amnesty.

6. Fails to Address Anchor Babies — For a so-called ‘comprehensive’ fix, this legislation fails to address the major problem of illegal immigrants crossing our borders to have children that become automatic U.S. citizens.

7. Amnesty for Absconders and Gang Members — Bill gives amnesty to dangerous criminals and repeat offenders

8. Invites Fraud — Z Visas Invite Document Fraud and Create a False Sense of Security

9. Reduces Job Opportunities for Working Class Americans

10. The LARGEST Single Increase in the Government Welfare State in American History — Illegal immigrants will get Social Security numbers, which will in turn permit them to use entitlement programs available to law-abiding Americans.

The new calling plan, “Call All” Including DHS

It is time to call beyond the published phone numbers. Example; 202-224-3121 is the published number for the Senate Switchboard. If you dial 202-224-2887 you get the Senate Commerce Committee answer line. 202-224-3445 end up with the Senate Building Health Unit The idea is to work through the last four digits in sequence who answers give them the message. Some of you geeks, I say that with admiration; can probably develop a list of all the combinations which will keep us busy from the calling end. Are you with me?

DHS

Citizen Line
Operator Number: 202-282-8000
Comment Line: 202-282-8495

Media Contacts
Agency Press Rooms and Contact Numbers
U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS): 202-272-1200
Customs & Border Protection (CBP): 202-344-1780
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA): 202-646-4600
U.S Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE): 202-514-2648

There are at least two who do... Hunter and Tancredo.

Rush: We've had ten, 12 years to get serious about this.

I think our government has had longer than that.

They are going to wait until their opponents all tired out, then push it through.

That's my fear too. How long can we stay riled up? They'll do a tweak here and a tweak there and wear us down over time. Because of a few inconsequential fixes to the bill, Senators will feel justified in now supporting it. They can come out and say, well I didn't support it then, but because of this being added or taken away, now everything is hunkey dorey.

Senator Reid was on the floor of the Senate yesterday and said Bush needs to do more to push this bill to help, “UNDOCUMENTED AMERICANS”!!!!!!

Reid needs to be arrested and thrown in prison for treason and not upholding the US Constitution which he SWORE to do in his oath of office.

Some anti-illegals are undoubtedly racist. But I am not. My opposition is based on multiple factors, and the race of the interlopers is not on the list. I'll wager that 90% plus of the antis are not racist or nativist or anti-immigration (of the legal kind) but are anti-illegals for the same reasons that I am.

The pathetic fact is that there are freepers who use the 'racist-xenophobe' card on this forum.

From Mark Steyn's column June 10, 2007

Mark Steyn: A lame joke becomes reality

About five years or so back, I started making references in columns to "fine upstanding members of the Undocumented-American community." But from the lame Steyn joke of yesteryear to the reality of tomorrow is a mere hop and a skip. A few days ago, Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, declared:

"This week we will vote on cloture and final passage of a comprehensive bill that will strengthen border security, bring the 12 million undocumented Americans out of the shadows, and keep our economy strong."

How can you say this just after the anniversary of Normandy? Americans have a history of pulling victory from the jaws of defeat.

Don't give up.

My two Senators are Obama and 'Turbin'. My calling them would be a lesson in futility. I have tried today to phone the WH comments line but it's always busy. I did sent the following email to both the national GOP, state GOP and WH:

I have been a Republican my entire adult life (I’m 63 years old). I have voted straight Republican in every election. I have never sat an election out.

Let it be known, that should Congress pass this current immigration bill, with support and encouragement from President George W. Bush, Republican Senators, and others within the GOP, I will immediately change my voter classification to Independent, and never, ever, vote Republican again.

I am incensed that the man for whom I voted twice for the presidency has the audacity to imply I’m racist, and the determination to go against the will of the American people. He, and our Senators, swore an oath to uphold the laws of this land. They have not enforced current immigration laws on the books, and there is no reason to believe that this law, as bad and inconsiderate as it is, would ever be enforced. The president has left me, and has left the Republican Party. And the Republican Party is apparently happy with the situation. The Republican Party no longer cares about its base, so why should its base care about it, and the president, by extension?

You can take this to the bank. I will do everything in my power to see that anyone running on the Republican ticket is defeated. I will not vote Democratic, but I will actively lobby against Republicans, and will sit out all further elections unless there is a viable Independent candidate. You think your donations have dwindled? Just wait! You haven’t seen anything yet.

You people disgust me. You’ve lost focus on what America is, and what is good for this country. You aren’t Americans any longer; you are globalists. You can take your North American Union and shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. I despise you.

I've had it with these dorks. I am now an Independent at heart, if not officially. All it will take is this bastard legislation to become law.
