Meh. Don’t waste your energy on Gore, the guy’s probably not running. It’s a diversion.
People need a trip down memory lane.
I remember during the Clinton’s Administration how they hammered away how dangerous Saddam was.
I remember Cohen on a Sunday talk show...with a five pounds of Sugar saying 5 lbs anthrax would take out Washington DC.
Cohen was worried about Saddam giving terrorist BW.
Now we really went into Iraq to really overthrow Saddam and the news has a memory black hole.
I’m getting tired of BS!
Clinton screwed up with Iraq by not being forceful enough. We’re paying for it now through our boys getting killed.
We had a chance to overthrow Saddam back in 1995 but Clinton got cold feet. He didn’t want to supply the NIC with weapons to take out Saddam.
Read the report. This was never reported in the drive by media.
It’s all about politics and who gets on top.

I was in Columbus, Ohio Feb 1998, when Albright, Berger and Cohen were trying to convince the public about Saddam Hussein at a town hall meeting.
How soon everyone forgets!
Maybe it was the Clinton Administration started this Mantra “Saddam had WMD.” Based on nothing because the Administration screwed up with their intelligence gathering.
We had a faulty intelligence machine back during the Clinton years because they thought there was a a al Queda/Sudan/Iraq connection.
Why the 1998 indictment showing this?
Why did Clinton lobbed bombs at the Al-Shifa pharmaceutical factory in the Sudan in 1998? His team thought the place was making VX nerve gas in a joint venture with al Queda, Sudan and Iraq.

He just hit the wrong place. Clinton wanted to lob bombs at a Tannery in 1999 but changed his mind when he found out the place was filled with workers.

It was okay for Clinton Administration to say there was a connection and Saddam had WMD but not for the Bush Administration.
It’s very frustrating. I like to know who really screwed things up! Because I know the intelligence gathered by Bush Sr was passed to the Clinton Administration and then passed to Bush Administration.
If we had poor input during the Clinton Administration because we crippled our intelligence gathering ability...ie no arabic linguist...we are going to war with poor information.
Now we’re playing political football with it and kicking Bush in the balls for doing something about Saddam.
It doesn’t make sense.
Rush had the audio.
Gore blamed Bush Sr. for ignoring Saddam especially when Saddam gassed the Kurds many times during the 1980’s.
In other words Gore is trying to say we supplied Saddam with chemical weapons.
Blame America First.
When the Iraq-Iran War broke out all the Sunni Middle Easterners supported Saddam. They were afraid of the Iranian Revolution would spread through out the Middle East.
Even the Soviet Union were afraid of the Iranian Revolution. Iranians were next door to Kazakh, Turkmen, Tadzhik S.S.R and the Soviets didnt want any problems with their satellites going Fundamental on them. The Soviets put their support behind Saddam by selling conventional and unconventional weapons to the Regime.
So did the United States and other Western powers. We sold chemical and biological technology...not weapons.
Lets put Who sold Saddam the Chemical Weapons to a rest.
The world community sold Saddam chemical and biological technology which was perfectly legal. Most third world countries do use pesticides or vaccinate their livestock for anthrax.
Most countries don’t commit mass murder.
When the United States and other countries found out Saddam was using chemical weapons we decided to restrict the export of certain chemicals so they wouldnt be weaponized.
The UN condemn the gas attacks but they didnt put any sanctions against Iraq at the time.

The Senate followed suit but developed their own sanctions.

But smuggling the dual use chemicals were still going on. Thiodglycol is used in the textile industry.
This is Saddams supplier Frans Van Anraat AKA Faris Mansoor Rashid. US Customs were on his tail for since 1988.

Another thing should the Dutch government should be responsible for Frans illegal activity?
Are they apart of the Kurdish Genocide?
How about all the ports that allowed the smuggled to go through.
Should Belgium and Jordanian governments be responsible for the Kurdish Genocide because they allowed the smugglers to used their ports to smuggled the illicit goods?
And what about all the Iraqi scientist who weapon the chemicals?
Where did they get their education from?
Not in Iraq...they all went to Europe, the United States, the Soviet Union or Warsaw Pact Countries.
Should we charge all university professors who taught advance chemistry to Iraqi Scientist for being Genocide enablers?
The liberals blame the Reagan Administration for gassing the Kurds. Saddam used our helicopters.

And we still armed Saddam after 1988.

Others claimed Saddam used Soviet MIGS to drop chemical bombs.

“Gore served in the United States House of Representatives (197785) and the United States Senate (198593) representing Tennessee.”

I wonder if Al Gore objected to any of the 1988 US Senate Sanctions?
US Senate Riegle Report
United States Department of Commerce giving Saddam biological technologies.

Tennessee is a big agriculture state. I wonder if they gave Saddam any biological technology samples for Veterinary Medicine research?
United States did participate in International Commerce to help third world countries?
