It was the first demand they made on him, and it is weak:
We believe that you and your administration could alleviate many of the fears of our constituents by calling for an emergency supplemental bill to fully fund the border and interior security initiatives contained in legislation currently pending in the Senate, as well as any outstanding existing authorizations.”
I see what you mean. It’s the word “pending”, as if the bill is inevitable.
Chambliss and Isakson are asking for an emergency measure to fund this monstrosity. Not any other, but this one, currently in the Senate. It hasn't even been voted upon yet, and hasn't gone to the House. These two do not deserve applause, they're playing hide the salami with the voters in their districts, and the country at large.
