Well, criminey. The Dems will attack him no matter what. The only way they wouldn't attack him would be if he was either too useful as an idiot, or a hopeless looser. And even then, they couldn't resist attacking him for being a stupid looser.

If the lobbyist attack is the best the Dems have, then I look forward to eight good years of President Thompson.

Please be a little realistic. I’m not doubting Fred would be attacked by the Dems regardless. What I’m saying is that if he does run an “outsider” campaign, the fact that he was a lobbyist will be used to make him look disingenuous and considering how currupt Washington has been of late it could very well stick in a bad way. These kinds of things have a way of coming out very late in a campaign with little time to correct the record.
