I understand that very well, you claim that 1.5 million would be missing from taxes paid at a lower wage (illegals). I asked what would be collected from Americans that would be paid at a higher market wage. Guess you don’t remember the stories of Americans going to the Gulf area post Katrina for decent paying jobs only to be undercut and replaced by foreign, mostly illegal labor at near half the hourly rate.

I remember the stories, but the fact is that we have a 4.5% unemployment rate, that is stellar by any measure.

If you replace every single illegal alien with an unemployed person, you still end up with millions of jobs unfilled.
