“We now interrupt our commercials for a NASCAR race...”

You can say that again I started the thing about 3:30 eastern from my Tivo and I almost caught up to the end live. TNT is pathetic. Plus what is it with all those darn “pop-up” promos for “Closer”?

WOOHOO---WrongWrayWracing picks #99, #1 for a 1-2.

Then, true to form, collects P28 and P40.

Yup, on to Sonoma next week! Weather should be purrrfect, compared to those 100d days they've seen the last few years.

Newman.....

Somebody needs to sit down and have a serious talk with Newman. Kyle Petty noticed that Newman was pushing way too hard a few dozen laps before the wreck. I have a hard time believing that somebody didn't get on the radio and tell Newman "you're three laps down, you're liable to wreck somebody the way you're racing".

I'm sure Newman will get his in an upcoming race, but it's a shame - Newman seemed fairly level headed for the most part.
