Men don’t make good nurses especially for children. What kind of a man wants to be a nurse and why? Why would anyone be alone in a room long enough to assault a child much less a man who likes to nurse children?
I took my girlfriend to the emergency room and the male nurse asked me to help undress her as a chaperon...she didn’t want me to see her naked anymore than she wanted a male nurse who needed a chaperon.
We used to have better sense.
That’s protocol for a patient being ‘exposed’ to a healthcare worker. They always call for a witness. I’m a little surprised they didn’t call for another staff member.
Gee whiz...I know male nurses and they are excellent professionals.
There are the odd ones out there but there are just as many odd female nurses—the Ratcheds (and worse) of the world.
The kind who used to be a bomb tech and wants to make that kind of money stateside to be with his bride to be (without spending countless dollars and more years in school to get an MD).
There are others here too. Know your audience, bonehead.
Singularly, the dumbest thing I've read all day. Congrats.
My late husband, a VN vet, became a licensed practical nurse when he returned from the war. We didn't talk about it much; maybe he just wanted to help people. Eventually he left the profession. I think he was a sensitive person who took his patients to heart and didn't know how to make a separation betweeen work and personal life.
Male nurses, rad techs, respiratory therapists, whatever. Some of them are downright creepy.
