How ignorant do we have to appear? The President of the United States is seeking contact with the website and this just gives them a personal target - the President of the United States - to bring out the “glory” of their ability to trash Bush and proceed to make us all look like idiots.

Granted, I haven't read all the 600+ posts, but I see people doing exactly what you requested. People are posting their opinions respectfully, using facts and data to back them up.

Don't be naive. Did you really think that George and Laura were going to be reading this thread tonight? Some very low level whitehouse operatives were asked to "engage the blogosphere" i.e. try to spread some propaganda.

I disagree with your assessment. IMO, I've read posts that are quite restrained. It's been more volatile on other threads. If something gets through to them, they will need to wade thru like anyone else would.

I don't find the truth to be disrespectful. It is refreshing.
