The “10 year” thing is only in the section title. It has no force of law. You have to analyze the changes to the US Code to determine if the da** thing sunsets or not. I seem to recall doing this before and determining that it did not. But best to check it out again, and I’m too sleepy for that right now.

Even IF the original bill contains a “sunset”, that is one amendment away from being permanent. Plus, the left is banking on a leftist President 10 years from now, just as they banked on Al Gore as President, to renew the old unConstitutional bill.

Ugh, we need to inventory all of our laws, dispose of the outdated/non-applicable/idiotic, and rewrite the remaining 100 at a level that is easy to understand and protects against subterfuge and nuances you mention.
