Paying taxes feels good, say tax-funded researchers.

Obvious flaws with study:

1. Sample size;

2. Gender bias;

3. Profession (or lack thereof) bias;

4. Age bias;

5. Money was gift, not income.

Anything else I’m missing?

If you gave them a choice, pay some or keep all, I am just going to go out on a limb, and say most would KEEP ALL.

I think that a more interesting study would be how people feel about taxes if they could direct the money to the pot of their choice. For instance, would I mind contributing if I could direct my $$$ to defense? No.

But do I dislike the fact that my money goes to a grant to study the mating habits of slower snails? Or to some "artist" that blows his nose on a tissue and demands a NEA grant? Forget them.

Idiots. People pay taxes because they are too stupid to know any better or they are scared of the government. What many do not realize is that if enough people refused to pay taxes...simultaneously...the government would be unable to collect.
