I have lost ALL RESPECT for this man. He has lost all touch with the American citizen. He has great focus for the people of Iraq, for the people of Mexico, and for God knows how many others....but not the will of the American people. Bush, et al, are working very hard to re-engineer the American society and the voting base to ensure Washington pol power by grossly modifying the demographics to favor a society more heavily dependent on the government. It is all about empowerment of the elite.

Again, they have no interest in the American citizen, except that they pay taxes. Impeach them all.

OK boys, here is the plan,

We’ll AMNESTY the 20,000,000 here now.

You layoff your US workers, you will have to pay the new AMNESTY workers minimum wage and throw in the taxes. Sorry about that, but it’s only temporary.

... until, the courts throw the whole package out, stop the fence and call it quits with internal enforcement. Aren’t Liberal courts and the ACLU neat, feel the power.

We’ll leave the borders open for you so you can deposit those short term workers in the welfare hammock and hire the new waves of illegals at substandard wages and no taxes. How cool is that.

OK, we agree, let’s stick it to the suckers, go out there and give ‘em hell. Remember, stick to the time-line, just like ‘86.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when we show the pictures of the raids, fence, watch towers and illegals being hauled off, remember it’s all show, don’t panic. We got some really good Hollywood types which will stage the whole thing so no one will be the wiser.

I’ll support George’s ‘comprehensive reform’ plan, if he agrees to spend a month in a Westlake flophouse, surrounded by photographs of the same city prior to his pal Teddy’s ‘65 ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ plan.

I can hear him now...”OK, don’t worry about the pipeline of illegals workers who’ll work for you under the table....The enforcement aspects of the bill will be gutted....yes, yes, yes, you’ll have to put these new “citizens” on the books, but then you can fire them all and hire the next wave of illegals that will cross the border. Screw those “legitimate business owners”.....they’re a bunch of chumps...I’ll cut down on your competition”

The fix is in.

By moving forward with this bill we'll also help meet the needs of a growing economy. When the economy grows, people are looking for workers. That's economics one. (Laughter.) You're probably some who are looking for workers. As you get expanded work orders, you're wondering whether you can find the workers to meet the needs. That's what happens when the economy grows. You need workers to make the economy grow.

The reality is, in America, that the construction industry and other sectors depend on foreign workers to fill jobs Americans are not doing. That's the reality of the world we live in. So once our border security and work site enforcement measure is in place, this bill will create a new temporary worker program. The program will establish a lawful and orderly process for foreign workers to come to America on a temporary basis. This will help reduce the number of people trying to sneak across our border. If you're truly interested in border security, it makes sense to give people a legal way to come to do work Americans aren't doing, on a temporary basis.

Such tremendous eloquence! A symphony of ethos, pathos, and logos! Cicero and Solon had nothing on good old GWB.

His folks decided that it would be best that he and they come to a free society

Gee, is that why Carlos Gutierrez's family moved to Mexico after a quick stop in Miami back in '61?

Or why he didn't come to the United States until Oh, about 1992? (well, he was here for a few minutes in '82).

Is Mexico a "free society" where the citizens decide their own laws and society?

Only to guys like Gutierrez and Bush.

The President, the RNC, and most Republican Senators have sold their votes to the big campaign donors. They no longer represent the voters or the states from which they come--they represent the interest of the K-street lobbyists. McCain was the most outspoken opponent of the corruption of big money in Washington, and he's one of the authors of the latest sellout.

It's time to take our party back, and the only way to do it is to insure that not a single one of these seditionists makes it past his next primary. Starting today we need to be identifying and nurturing candidates to replace them. Not another nickel in contributions to the RNC, the NRSC, or any candidate that votes for cloture.

If our state had elected D'rats to the Senate, I could understand. I wouldn't be pleased, but I could understand. But we didn't. We elected two Republicans. Two Republicans who sold themselves to us as conservatives. Two Republicans who said they would represent our views and our desires before Congress. Instead we have two traitors. Two traitors who have abused our vote and our confidence. Two traitors who have sold out to the big campaign donors. 71% of us oppose this bill and still they're supporting it. They know we oppose the bill and they don't care. They have violated our trust. No more!

I'm going to quit calling and writing my Senators. They know how we feel about this and they don't care. They've sold out. For their sake, maybe the Hispanics will vote for them, but I won't. Never again! Starting tonight, my energies are going into making sure they're never elected again. Starting tonight, I'm writing checks to prospective candidates to run against them in the primary. Starting tonight, I'm talking to friends, neighbors, anyone who will listen about the seditious behavior of our two Republican senators and the virtues of those who will run against them. Enjoy your elite positions in Washington, sirs--you won't be there much longer.

And I thought I couldn't be more ashamed of a president than I was of Carter. Then I got Clinton. And I thought I couldn't be more ashamed of a president than I was of Clinton. Then I got Bush. Is there a web site where I can sign a petition to have him impeached?

How about one to impeach my two seditious Senators?

"The reality is, in America, that the construction industry and other sectors depend on foreign workers to fill jobs Americans are not doing."

To me this implies an elitists view of the American worker being lazy and unwilling to work hard. Of course these jobs are less than desirable by most Americans, because THE EMPLOYERS DON'T PAY A FAIR WAGE FOR HARD WORK!!!

Essentially those employers are paying off our politicians to 'fix' the labor market for them, while selling out our country on virtually every level. I wish there was a place I could go to get my two votes for president back!

Dammed traitors all! To hell with them.

This speech reveals the unfortunate underpinnings of the Bush boom: cheap labor and cheap houses. Had these two things not been available, the economy would not have recovered much from the 2001-2 recession.

The tax cuts did help, but they were nothing compared to the stimulus of cheap labor and cheap houses.

All that conservative support for Bush in 2000 & 2004 has completely evaporated. Conservatives who contributed to Bush during the Gore hijacking, who stood with him on 9/11, who defended him against the Dems even though at the same time Bush was reaching out to these morons.

Bush has done one thing good: He succeeded in resurrecting the Rockefeller monster that has controlled the GOP for 60 out of the last 80 years.
