WASHINGTON — Senate leaders have agreed on a way to bring a pulled immigration bill forward, breaking the impasse that had stalled the bill, Fox News confirms.

The compromise legislation could come up as early as the middle of next week, once the Senate completes a large energy package. Legislators will consider 19 amendments (10 from Republicans and nine from Democrats) that are in need os some 'polishing' a senior Republican aide tells Fox News.

The POSSIBILITY that the Amnesty Bill will return, IS NOW 100% CERTAIN. SENATOR REID HAS AGREED TO BRING THE BILL BACK NEXT WEEK.

The only way they could have done it was to convince several Republican senators that they can vote for cloture on this bill and still be reelected. We need to convince them otherwise. Remember, though, some of them are VERY slow learners, so the lesson might need to be administered several times.

I turn 60 this year and am seriously thinking of becoming an ex-patriot when I retire. I hate to see this downward spiral.

Schools do not teach history of civics. Heck, they can barely read or write English.

Oh, they keep telling us the public is really for it. I think both political parties are desperately pursuing the latino vote. I don’t want my children and grandchildren living in the dump these politicians are creating.

I’ve called and left my sentiments via phone with their offices.

The Republicans' goal: Cheap labor, even for skilled professions.
The Democrats' goal: the future voters that will mean money/patronage/power.

Funny, the Republicans generally don't understand they will cause
the Death of The GOP by an unassailable demographic onslaught.

That they brought on themselves and could have turned away
since the enactment of Simspon-Mazzoli (circa 1986).
But then, that would have required a modicum of intestinal fortitude.

The payoff for the socialists is more people depending on the federal government for their existence. This helps them achieve their goal of destroying democracy that is anathema to socialism and thereby achieving a strong centralized form of government.
