Lol! No, this article proves that McCain, who promised in 2000 not to attack fellow Republicans, flip-flopped. It also proves that the McCain team lies with ease. The video shows nothing what Team McCain claims. Go back to talking about on one of the Fred threads. Enjoy your candidate!

He vetoed the bill providing state funding for human embryonic stem cell research

To this day, he still supports the destruction of human embryos for experimentation. I've linked the proof here a hundred times.

I always have to be skeptical when a politician switches from a position that was politically expedient in the past to one that would be more expedient for his future ambition right before an election. Particularly when you are talking about really basic philosophical matters. I think he might just be another flip-flipping Mass. politico like Skeery.

“Five sons is solid proof that Mitt is pro-life”

I know childless people who are pro-life and I know pro-abort folks who have large families. Having a bunch of kids proves little.

Does anyone else see the use of the word “myth” as a veiled reference to his religion? Why doesn’t Klein come out and say that Mitt lied if he’s so sure?<p?
To all you Mitt-haters out there: Answer honestly...does this article provide evidence that Mitt lied about his pro-life conversion story? I want facts. Not just anti-Mitt hit and run answers.

He vetoed a bill that provided for the “morning after pill” without a prescription because it is an abortifacient and would have been available to minors without parental notification and consent

Romney Approves of Abortion Pill and Supports the Legalization of RU-486

"When he ran for governor in 2002, Romney said he supported expanding access to the emergency contraception pill, a high dose of hormones that women can take to prevent pregnancy up to five days after sex . . . On a questionnaire Planned Parenthood gave to the gubernatorial candidates in 2002, Romney answered 'yes' to the question, 'Do you support efforts to increase access to emergency con-traception?' " - Boston Globe 7/7/2005

In 2002, the Boston Globe reported Romney's positions from his 1994 campaign as follows: "ABORTION: Favored basic Roe v. Wade abortion rights, though would not endorse a specific version of the Freedom of Choice Act, which would codify those court-established rights as federal law . . . Said he would leave the matter of Medicaid funding for abortion to individual states . . . Endorsed legalization of RU-486, the abortion-inducing drug." - Boston Globe, 3/19/2002

"I don't really understand how it works or when it works but my understanding is it's an effective morning after pill and I think it would be a positive thing to have women have the choice of taking morning-after pills….I would favor having it available." - Boston Herald, 5/19/1994

"A new law to make emergency contraception more available in Massachusetts continues to be a political rollercoaster for Governor Mitt Romney. He supported expanded access when campaigning for governor, but vetoed a bill expanding access, earlier this year. The bill then passed over his veto. Earlier this week, the governor sought to exempt Catholic and other private hospitals from having to offer 'morning after pills' to rape victims. Then yesterday, he reversed his position." - WBUR Radio, Boston, 12/9/2005

Romney signs "Right to Privacy" Proclamation celebrating birth control availability

In March, 2005, Romney signed an annual proclamation establishing a ''Right to Privacy Day" to mark the anniversary of Baird v. Eisenstadt, a 1972 Supreme Court ruling legalizing birth control for unmarried people. Interestingly, Romney's staff deleted references to Roe v. Wade from the previous year's proclamation. - Boston Globe, 3/25/2005

It was just a sad and pathetic attack (and it was also indicting President Reagan, too). The Romneybots have little left to defend.

He vetoed legislation which would have redefined Massachusetts longstanding definition of the beginning of human life from fertilization to implantation

If he thinks life begins at conception, he has a funny way of showing it. A) He still supports the destruction of human embryos for experimentation, and B) He still thinks that if one state or another wants to destroy preborn persons, they should be able to do so. IOW, he doesn't support the right to life as being God-given and therefore unalienable, and he could care less about the equal protection of the laws.

He supported parental notification laws and opposed efforts to weaken parental involvement

In his now-infamous 2002 gubernatorial debate, in addition to vociferously defending his 35 year pro-abortion credentials, he went out of his way to brag about how meaningless and empty the parental consent laws were.

Romney the abortionist in his last run for office, 2002

It's already widely known that Mitt appointed mostly Democrats, most of whom were liberal, including gay marriage advocates -- to judgeships.

What I hadn't heard before was this timeline:

November 2004

Mitt Romney has long cited a November 2004 meeting with a Harvard stem cell researcher as the moment that changed his long-held stance of supporting abortion rights to his current "pro-life" position opposing legal abortion.

May 2005,

Romney also declared his support for a House bill lifting President Bush's ban on federal funding of embryonic stem cell research -- a bill he now said he opposes.

Especially considering the fact that the Harvard researcher says that Mitt's description of their meeting is partly fabricated, can it be any clearer that the whole so-called epiphany on Mitt's part was just something he made up after the fact to explain why he switched positions to run for president?

Yes, that is closer to his position. He is a Federalist with abortion, but so is McCain, so is Fred, etc. Brownback is the only exception in the race.

I do take issue with the idea that he is the equivalent of Rudy. That assertion is blatantly dishonest. He is much further to the right than Rudy. He has accomplishments as listed above supporting life in MASSACHUSETTS of ALL PLACES! He didn’t have it easy like Fred in Tennessee or McCain in Arizona. To me it is proof, because he delivered as much as he could in a Liberal cesspool, that he will be outstanding on life issues as President.

He fought to promote abstinence education in public school classrooms with a program offered by faith-based Boston group Healthy Futures to middle school students.

His last-minute attempts as Governor to shore up phony conservative credentials for his looming run for president, which amount to little more than the means to deceive the ignorant, are as a grain of sand next to his actual record as a hardcore liberal.

Fact is, he flooded the schools with leftwing immorality.

Homosexual "Rights"

Gov. Romney has a long history of promoting and furthering the homosexual agenda, and working closely with leading gay activists

Romney twice sought and received the endorsement of the homosexual Log Cabin Republican Club

Romney's campaign distributed pro-gay rights campaign literature during Boston's "Gay Pride" events

Romney supports homosexual "anti-discrimination" laws

Such laws are usually carried out at the expense of freedom of religion and speech. For example, they would allow lawsuits against a Christian book store owner for refusing to hire a homosexual activist applicant.

Romney advocates homosexual couples' adoption rights be recognized by the government

Romney supports homosexual domestic partnerships

Romney supported and promoted legalizing homosexual civil unions

Romney Opposes the Boy Scouts' Ban on Homosexual Scoutmasters

Romney barred Boy Scouts from public participation in 2002 Olympics

Homosexual activism in government

Romney appointed prominent homosexuals to key positions in his administration

Romney appointed prominent homosexual activists and Democrats as judges

Romney Rewards one of the State's Leading Anti-Marriage Attorneys by Making him a Judge

Romney announces he won't fill judicial vacancies before term ends

Romney's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth used huge taxpayer funding to promote homosexuality in the public schools

Romney's Commission organized public gay "Youth Pride Day" parades and "transgender proms" which promote unhealthy and risky behavior

Romney issues a proclamation celebrating gay "Youth Pride Day"

Romney's Department of Education promotes the homosexual agenda

Romney's Department of Public Health (DPH) cooperates with the homosexual activist movement

Romney opposed federal legislation that would stop public schools from promoting homosexuality

Romney's Dept. of Social Services honors homosexual "married" couple as adoptive "Parents of the Year"

Homosexual "Marriage"

Romney refused to endorse the original 2002 Mass. constitutional amendment absolutely defining marriage as one man and one women

Romney unnecessarily (and unconstitutionally) implemented homosexual marriages in Massachusetts

Romney had marriage licenses changed to allow same-sex marriages

Romney administration ordered Justices of Peace to perform homosexual "marriages" when asked - or be fired!

Romney administration's training of Town Clerks (on how to issue same-sex marriage licenses) states that marriage statutes were not changed

Romney signs bill eliminating Sexual Transmitted Disease (STD) testing requirement for marriage

When requested of him, Romney personally issues special one-day certificates to allow otherwise unqualified people to perform homosexual "marriages"

Was Romney's public opposition to homosexual "marriage" based on expediency, not principle?
