Hanway takes back 'Haditha': New U.K. distributor sought for film, Variety International, Dec. 21, 2007.
LONDON Metrodome Distribution has handed back U.K. rights on Nick Broomfields Iraq drama-doc Battle for Haditha to sales agent Hanway Films. Metrodome and Broomfield reportedly had different visions for the distribution of the movie.
Broomfield commented, This is an amicable decision and I consider Metrodome to be a great company. I look forward to continuing our ongoing relationship working with them on many of my other films.
Hanway expects to sign a new U.K. distribution deal for the movie shortly.
Metrodome CEO Peter Urie said, We wish Hanway Films and Nick Broomfield all the best on the release of Battle for Haditha and we look forward to working with them both again in the future.
