I guess I'd better get some popcorn ready.
The other side of the story!
haha
No joke. We’re gonna have fireworks, and it ain’t even the Fourth yet.
>>>Ron Paul is one of the people spreading the North American Union conspiracy:
The NAU is a conspiracy theory?
But there is hard sourced docs on it???
::confused::
#10) Ron Paul is a Log Cabin Republican.

2004 - Log Cabin Congratulates Our Victorious Candidates (2004)
However, he also has a host of enormous flaws that makes him unqualified to be President and undesirable....
::::
And Hitlery does not?? It is sad, but the candidate offerings on both sides of the aisle for 2008 are disgusting, with only a few that qualify as conservatives and respectable. When you look at the liberal socialist side of the aisle, Paul does not look all that bad....political relativism.
I agree with Paul on a few things...this is one of them.
I do disagree with him on cutting and running and this makes him unelectable.
A minor point that would tend to lend similar confusion to the other points:
Ron Paul is a libertarian, not a conservative. . .
This should say, if one were not confused about the concept, "Ron Paul is a libertarian, not a democrat or republican." Liberals and conservatives are found in all parties.
...”Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,’ I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal,” Paul said.
...He added, “We don’t think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That’s true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such.”
Is it safe to say Ron would not win in the District of Columbia? (ducking)
complete nonsense.
Mr. Hawkins is a professional blogger.
Just one Keyboard cowboy’s opinion.
I worry about the “North American Union” conspiracy about as much as most of us at Free Republic worry about global warming.
If this is true, I am shocked the major media outlets are not running with these quotes and making him out to be David Duke. Then force the other candidates to distance themselves and aplogize for the GOP.
However, where I part ways with Rep. Paul is that libertarians in general know far more what they are against then what they are for. They rightly view government as a big, ham-fisted, coercive intrusion in our lives. It consumes resources and returns little. However, libertarians act like everyone is only motivated by the desire to prosper by mutual free trade. Libertarians seem to not understand there is evil in the world, and evil can only be dealt with by force. Libertarians, by their basic doctrines (that a standing army is a bad thing) imply that the country would not have the means to defend itself.
This is where the issue of WMDs comes into play. Can we imagine a world with both Iran and a bellicose Saddam, still thumbing his nose at the UN inspectors, bribing nations via oil-for-food, and still shooting at our aircraft protecting the Kurds? Yet, Paul thinks that Iraq did nothing and we were wrong to invade.
I may not like how Bush’s team handled the war, but Paul would not have engaged Al-Quaeda at all. (If he has said otherwise, please post it.) Libertarians seem to think that Islamists only want to buy more Madonna DVDs at a better price. In fact they want to kill all infidels in part to stop Madonna from influencing their youth.
Libertarians don’t have an answer to Islam’s Three Demands: Convert, Submit or Die. If they do, they sure are not stating it very loudly.
Libertarian is the title of both a political party (like Republican or Democrat), and a political philosophy (like conservative or liberal).
Ron Paul is not a conservative ... he is a libertarian.
I don’t support him.
However, I dislike like poorly written non-specific smear attempts even less. If you’re going to attack his voting record and state candidate “X” took this position, at least state what the positions were and how they voted......

Farewell Address includes:
“The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop.
Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concerns. Hence, therefore, it must be unwise in us to implicate ourselves by artificial ties in the ordinary vicissitudes of her politics or the ordinary combinations and collisions of her friendships or enmities.
It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world, so far, I mean, as we are now at liberty to do it, for let me not be understood as capable of patronizing infidelity to existing engagements.”
Quite true; Paul sucks but Hillary (and Obama and Edwards and Dodd, et al) is infinitely suckier.
