This was posted earlier but the URL was incorrect. Sorry! This is important enough to affect all of us on the FreeRepublic. Hate is evil and no one should engage in it. It is not necessary to judge or condemn any group, God will do that. No one should alter His word. If, of course, there is no God why worry? Everyone just do what seems right to them in their own eyes!

Next step is stopping churches from teaching morality. It is offensive to those who don’t keep a moral code.

This is the third thread I have seen on this. I have skimmed through the legislation, and though I am not a lawyer, I saw no speech restrictions in it. I don’t see Wildmon making a case about it.

The fellow who plays “Magneto” in the X-men, Ian something, I understand whenever he stays at a hotel, he pulls out the complimentary Bible and rips out the book of Leviticus, or at least the passages against homosexuality. I like the X-men movies, but I always kind of cringe when I see him now.

This is treason! How could anyone even think of passing a blatant attack against the first amendment.

Reads like they want to make the Confederate battleflag illegal too.

House bill H.R. 1592

(7) For generations, the institutions of slavery
9 and involuntary servitude were defined by the race,
10 color, and ancestry of those held in bondage. Slavery
11 and involuntary servitude were enforced, both prior to
12 and after the adoption of the 13th amendment to the
13 Constitution of the United States, through widespread
14 public and private violence directed at persons be15
cause of their race, color, or ancestry, or perceived
16 race, color, or ancestry. Accordingly, eliminating ra17
cially motivated violence is anan important means of
18 eliminating, to the extent possible, the badges, inci19
dents, and relics of slavery and involuntary servitude.
20 (8) Both at the time when the 13th, 14th, and
21 15th amendments to the Constitution of the United
22 States were adopted, and continuing to date, members
23 of certain religious and national origin groups were
24 and are perceived to be distinct ‘‘races’’. Thus, in
25 order to eliminate, to the extent possible, the badges...

Could this be the start of religious persecution? What happened to the “separation between Church and State” BS that we have been forced to swallow for so long? Those who introduced this bill and voted for it should be thrown out during the next election cycle.

dvan, it has been pointed out to you in your other thread that the Bills do not say what Wildmon claims they say.
Have you read the Bills yet?

If this happens, everyone of us should ask the question during public events which they attend, “Congressperson ... could you please explain to us what common good for society happens when a man sticks his penis up another man’s rectum and why this should be looked upon as normal, undebatable, acceptable behavior?”
