I think that is rather short sighted.
85% of the votes that killed the Immigration bill were Republicans. 80% of the votes for the bill were Democrats.
Seems rather silly to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Heck Tom alone does a better job then about 95% of the rest of them
I will say I was rather proud my Senator finally gets it.
Norm Coleman was a D and is a squishy R Senator. He has been a reliable Bush supporter on most things. He was on the radio this week and said his phone calls were running 30-1 against the bill. He said it would take about 18 months to get the Border Enforcement measures fully in place. Said no one would trust DC on the border until that was done.
So it shows SOME people in DC are getting the message.
