Tancredo speaking at CPAC 2007.

Whether he's the next president of the United States or not, what Tancredo says needs to be heard. Our country is moving in a leftist direction, and eight years of a Republican controlled White House, unfortunately, has only increased that movement, not redirected it.

Tancredo, who is often accused of not being a polished speaker, speaks very eloquently here about the conservative movement, particularly in Part 3.

Regardless of what candidate you're supporting, I encourage you to watch these videos and give some thought to what Tancredo has to say.

In Part 3, Tancredo says:

“If these phrases sound like they’re written by political handlers, it’s because they are.

“They’re designed to shield politicians from their principles. Not to reveal truth, but to obscure it. To leave conservatives wondering about what politicians really believe and intend to do.

It is from such phrases, from the hacks who write them to the politicians who utter them, that our political process, our party and our movement must be rescued.

“Now if you want call me a single issue candidate, that’s fine.

Just so long as you know that my single issue is the survival and the success of the conservative movement in America.

Here you go, Huck. This is why I’m wasting my time and being ridiculous. If you’ve got the time, watch the videos and see if you still think I’m ridiculous.

>Our country is moving in the leftist direction.<

Our country HAS been moving in the leftist direction for many decades now. The near dead victims are: education, including unrevised American History, the sanctity of the family, the rights of the unborn, a myriad of personal freedoms, a government by and for the people, a serious falling away from high morality, the future of the middle class.....I could go on and on, but some of us are already aware of how far left we have drifted - possibly into quick sand if we don’t stand up and do something about it pretty darned soon.

I like Tom Tancredo. The question is, can Tom Tancredo alone turn the tide? I believe he could make a fine VP for Duncan Hunter.

When I watched the GOP New Hampshire Dinner:

GOP New Hampshire Dinner

I saw a camaraderie. It was very reassuring. Maybe CSPAN still has it in archives for anyone that wants to watch it.

If a conservative wins in 2008, I have no doubt all the conservatives running will work as a team. The really looked like they were running as a team.

I emphasize, conservative.

Of course not. But right now he is the strongest voice, IMO, for a movement within the party.

I believe he could make a fine VP for Duncan Hunter.

Hunter has less traction than Tancredo. But if either of them wins the nomination, I'm OK with that. Hunter is a fine candidate.

Tanc and Hunter...Hunter and Tanc...Tanc and Thompson (F)...Thompson(F) and Tanc...Thompson(F) and Hunter...Hunter and Thompson(F).
It’s all good to me...Tanc has taken the lead for a long time on the Border/ILLEGAL issue and I applaud his efforts!
