The 2007 Amnesty Bill is real, it is not a joke, and it is not a diversion of some kind. For those learning of the above information for the first time, my apologies, as I'm sure it's disheartening. Let's put the "United States" back on our Countries list and keep it there!

I wouldn't expect to find much domestic info about the United States at the Department of State's web site. What sort of information were you hoping to learn?

Good question HAL9000. A good place to see how we expect the world to recognize the United States, and it basically doesn’t.

That truely was the point of the article (lol). The Dept. of State is an excellent place to learn about the United States, in that all of our “foreign” policy runs through it. With this in mind, it’s quite revealing how they view our place in the world. Welded together with the OAS. No difference in their eyes, and this is represented in everything.

Not sure what your point is. So the state dept website doesn’t present any information about the USA. Ok. So what does that have to do with amnesty?

The State Department is the diplomatic part of government. Countries (or states) usually don’t engage in all that much diplomacy with themselves.
