Big business media won’t give him airtime. Hunter is the best conservative candidate.

Did this bill pass and did Bush sign it into law?

Yeah, it seems like they’ve been invading our threads a lot lately. I wonder why?

No, it passed the house but was never reconciled with McCain Kennedy’s amnesty, so never became law.

I think Duncan Hunter would make a wonderful Secretary of Homeland Security. I would trust him to enforce the immigration laws we already have.

Sorry to say that Duncan can not win. He does not have the support of the Repub elites and the corporation money will not be with him. I would vote for him in a heart beat but reality must be stated.

Well now if Hunter does not have the support of the Republican elites and the corporation money will not be with him then I must have picked the right candidate to support. That is very good information to have so thanks for confirming that my judgement in supporting Hunter was correct.

GoMeanGreen is well named. Mean spirited. And the name reminds me of rancid hamburger somehow. Why these guys want to get on a Hunter thread with their buckets of hot water just point up that there are still a lot of lonely losers on FR. Don’t let it throw you. By the way, pissant will be coming up with some very big news on the Hunter campaign in the next day. Watch for it! :o)

I will not vote for a candidate backed by the country club or Rockefeller Republicans, nor the corporation big moneyed crowd. They back Bush, AND Hillary. If we don’t get a clean conservative this time around, we can just fold our tents and steal away into the night. It’ll be bye, bye, U.S.A.!

Duncan doesn’t have the organization and the money to get to the presidency....no matter how good he is. I would love it, if Romney, getting the nod, asked Hunter to be his VP.

“Like it or not, part of presidential campaigns is popularity and name recognition. That’s why Fred is the better choice.”

When campaigns are just starting up, yes, it is a popularity and name recognition contest. Yet, when campaigns are under way and debates, etc. and eventual leadership abilities, THAT is when the true test starts. A lot happens in campaigns that goes beyond initial ‘star power’ and it is ironic the GOP always tends to be into ‘names’ who may not be the best candidates. I see no other candidate as having what it takes to articulate well and come across as solid and the true test of leadership that Duncan Hunter will provide. He’d have the opportunity to actual get his message to the people if he was the nominee as people would naturally be curious as to who that was that knocked of Rudy and McCain. And there always is the comment from people who discover Hunter how presidential he is and how they like him. Take note of THAT. But, with nitwit Republicans, we only hear ‘he can’t win’ in which you cannot assure the ‘names’ can come through in a general election and you cannot assure that Hunter is ‘unelectable’. There is no fact there, only an attempt to sabotage Hunter’s chances and attach that stigma.
