This story cannot be verified by Romney and obviously won't be verified by the "X" woman for the very fact that Romney was her Bishop and thus their relationship is confidential, and the X woman, probably a good Mormon woman, would never admit to deciding about an abortion. So I wouldn't put too much creedance in this story, the feminist Mormon woman can get away with murder on this story without any response.

And by the way, you need to consider the fact that Romney was always personally pro-Life. If a woman did ask him for his opinion, its very likely he would have pushed her hard to avoid having an abortion. It was merely his position that ultimately she could decide for herself if she saw fit. He obviously has come around and now believes that the Government must hold up life because they unborn cannot speak for itself. So I think him advising against an Abortion is realistic even while he was campaigning for Pro-Choice positions. (And the part about asking the Bishops is probably not true either, Mitt was Pro-Choice since he entered adulthood and first encountered the issue.)

Anyone who can be "personally pro-life" while be profesionly pro-abortion lacks the character necessary for public office. Again, I hope that the allegations are untrue.
