Not at all. You wanted an answer. The answer is we shouldn't have been involved in WWI, thereby not creating some of the problems faced in WWII. But we're playing what ifs here aren't we? Trying to find something to stick to Dr. Paul perhaps? So it's a moot point. May as well ask should 'Mr. Polk's War' have happened?

Of course if you're trying to compare the rise of a first world power army compared to the semi-rise of a bunch of nuts in the desert from a third rate country that's even more ridiculous. But that's about all you've got. It's simply not a comparison.
