Reid is a fine Senator. Let’s not forget his oldie, but goodie line to a High School class in Las Vegas.
“The man’s father is a wonderful human being,” Reid said in response to a question about President Bush’s policies. “I think this guy is a loser.
“I think President Bush is doing a bad job,” he added to a handful of chuckles.
A US Senator calling the Commander in Chief a loser in a time of war. Sound’s like the “T” word to me.
Actually I think traitor is too soft. I can think of something much better but can’t post it here
Give ‘em heck, Fred.
I love that bumpersticker! bump
The more I read and hear what Fred has to say, the more I like him.
Where in the hell are the so called elected R Senators and congressits when the lying rats insult our military and lie about the war in Iraq?
Just as long as it is not FreeRepublic! LOL.
BTTT Thanks for saying that Grampa, so I didn't have to break my vow against cursing! ;^)
Senator Reid labeled Senator Joseph Liebermans (D-Conn.) perception that progress is being made a mirage. It is our stated position that this war cannot and will not be won, Reid insisted. We will not be dissuaded from this position by the professed optimism of renegade senators or incompetent generals.
Reid is believed to have been referring to Marine Gen. Peter Pace, the outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Army Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq. These jarheads do not understand the sensitive political issues surrounding this war, Reid complained. Theyve never had to battle for their political lives against a hostile media. They dont comprehend the kind of risks that I and Speaker Pelosi have to face in our struggle to control this government.

Reid damned well does mean to encourage our enemies. He’s one himself.
They are either scared witless of the press they'd get (weenies!) or afraid they'd be subsequently excluded from the DC Cocktail Party circuit.
Or both.
I can only hope that being Majority Leader will do for Harry Reid in Nevada what it did for Tom Daschle in South Dakota.
Some would say that none of this matters because FT hasn’t announced and wasn’t in the debates.
I say they are wrong. He’s controlling his message and not stuck in “sound-bite” mode, trying to get the press to report what he said like the other declared candidates.
But local radio does not speak highly of the Dingy One, frequently mentioning the "lowest ever Senate rating, led by our very Harry Reid....."
One big item that worked for South Dakota was that they had intelligent voters.
We are being invaded by California, have been for years.
One can see the assimilation process at work.
I don't see an intelligent vote until we can close the border and commence some serious rehabilitation.
Unfortunately, that was not a joke.
You are right.
When Fred gets the nomination it will be the mother of all general elections. The press is going to go ballistic in ways we can’t even imagine when the GOP nominee is speaking this way.
And he will still be controlling his message then and bypassing the press.
Thats the key to his campaign.
Not anything close to strong enough commentary on Harry POS Reid, Fred.
I had to modify my language on that remark.
“Where in the hell are the so called elected R Senators and congressits when the lying rats insult our military and lie about the war in Iraq?”
‘They are either scared witless of the press they’d get (weenies!) or afraid they’d be subsequently excluded from the DC Cocktail Party circuit.’
‘Or both.’
They are not by themselves. I’m seeing the same caving in by R’s out here in LaLa land re Iraq, who aren’t in politics. They don’t want to be challenged at coffee, lunch, dinner or in other social situations.
