The real outrage is the whole story of the Mayaguez “rescue”, and how we left these men behind. It was a terrible and unforgivable ending point to the Vietnam war.

Lets see.....all of our combat troops were out as af Feb 1973 when (at least some of) our POW’s were released; and the very few Americans remaining in Vietnam were evacuated on 29 April 1975 when Saigon “fell” because congress cut aid to the S Vietnamese. Two weeks later the Khmer Rouge seized the Mayaguez. Your statement needs work.....
