Here are a number of the flaws, as listed by numbersusa.com:

Thanks for the link. As numbersusa correctly notes in point #9, "proof of presence" can be established by an affidavit from anyone, including a personal friend.

But note that that affidavit from a friend along with a single money transfer receipt dated prior to 1/1/07 are the only two pieces of documentation required to obtain a Z Visa.

There are many other flaws to the bill, and Sen. Jeff Sessions lists another 20 on his site.

But I have yet to see anyone discussing the preposterous and unbelievable lack of vetting compared to the legal immigration process.

What's worse is that there is no provision to authenticate the identity of applicants. The process is so lacking in verification and authentication that Z Visas can easily be obtained by terrorists, criminals, unauthorized persons, foreign intelligence agents, or just about anyone who wants one.

The Z Visa program as described presents a very tempting opportunity to easily obtain an official American identity document under completely false pretenses.

If you were an illegal alien in America, and had no need to prove otherwise, would you apply for a Z Visa under your real name?

Why?
