This move pretty much indicates that Bloomberg is in fact thinking to do just that.

It didn’t matter if he was only interested in being mayor of New York. But although he’s done a good job overall, his liberal nanny state approach to life is something he can’t seem to suppress.

At the end of the day, he’s what we call an Upper East Side elitist. These are the types who have all the answers, know what’s best for you and don’t let the peons get in their way.

Either way, people are hungry for leadership and this election cycle marks rock bottom for leadership potential out of a group of candidates. The so very suck, all of them.

I totally agree. Indeed, this is shaping up to be one of the most fascinating parts of the '08 election. Arnold has expressed great admiration for Blumberg in a state that's sure to go for the Witch in a two way race between her and any pubbie. Blumberg, being the gun grabbing nanny stater he is, without the Witch's personal, ethical, and moral vileness, might attract many lib votes that would otherwise go to her because those libs couldn't bring themselves to vote for a pubbie. Hence, his candidacy could bring many blue states into play that the Witch could otherwise count on. Arnold, smart politician that he is, probably realizes this and, by supporting Blumberg, could be doing more service for the '08 pubbie candidate in California than any other way.

And if he does run for president he will definitely take many more votes away from the dems than the Repubs. He’s Hillary’s nightmare. I can only imagine the stress level at Hillary’s campaign HQ now.

It is generally believed that he has had an eye on the Presidency for some time. He is even prepared to spend $1 billion of his own money ($5 billion). A new Third Party Movement; Unity ‘08, has been courting him for some time now. (www.unity08.com)

Yes! If he runs as a threesome, I think he will pull more libs that he will conservs. I mean, he was elected mayor of New York. The only way for that to happen was to win support of libs. If it happened in NYC, it will happen in NY State. I mean, he's not goig to draw too many conservative votes. So look at the in-play blue states-- imo, these states are more likely to split between Bloomy and, say, Hillary, not between Bloomy and a real Republican. The red-states will remain red.
