I did not get through the entire thread. Did not make it through the first page, but I am impressed that nobody is jumping on each other giving their opinion. Can’t say that for FR sometimes. Fred Thompson is not the candidate that should be chosen in my opinion. As some in the other thread mentioned, Fred has many Bush Administration personnel on his team...
Ah, I see the latest Rudy-booster talking point has been distributed.
Tell us exactly how ANY major GOP candidate can avoid having at least some association with those involved with the Bush campaign or the Bush Administration.
>>Fred Thompson is not the candidate that should be chosen in my opinion.
It would be helpful if you explained who you blieve is better, and why.
>>As some in the other thread mentioned, Fred has many Bush Administration personnel on his team...
Since each is an individual who may or may not support certain Bush policies you object to, wouldn’t it be fairer to address each one as an individual?
And doesn’t every campaign with a competent staff include people with Bush connections? How many active Republican political professionals have no connection to Bush? And are the ones Bush never hired superior to those he did?
Fred has many people joining his team who successfully managed to get George W. Bush elected President TWICE during very grueling campaigns. I think it's wonderful that those professionals have decided to throw their weight behind Fred. They didn't back a loser the last two times, and I don't think they're planning to start now.
