I was responding to the comment about how this roundup would leave a number of disabled accounts over at DU.
So far as this bust was concerned this was much, much more than just some sweaty pervert in his mom's basement looking at pictures. This was an organized group of freaks who were actively enslaving and abusing children. In the Canadian raid one of the freaks was caught in the act of abusing a child when the OPP raided his house.
You are sadly correct. Give it forty years and the ACLU will sue to make it illegal for a parent to interfere when a monster stalks their toddler or infant.
If the ACLU is still active, they haven’t shut it down.
It already is, can you say “NAMBLA”?

Acknowledged and thank God, truly, that they caught these people. I cannot begin to imagine the nightmare for these kids and their parents. I just wish the FBI or whomever would spend more time and money going after the perpetrators of abuse, REALLY going after them and locking them up forever, than on the idiots who receive this garbage on the web. It reminds me of the early days of the “War on Drugs”, when we knew we didn’t have a prayer in hell against the cartels and the big dope traffickers so we decided to round up, arrest and felonize the users.
We fought that war beyond the constraints of the ACLU and as more than a few people know, the story line in Tom Clancy's Clear and Present Danger was not far off the mark.
On this issue it is a little more difficult to prosecute since a lot of what happens is outside of our borders and is tacitly legal in certain countries. As for the freaks we find in our country who participate in these atrocities they should be locked up for life in a very dangerous prison so that the inmates can carry out the sentence that the lawyers forbid.
