That's a nice picture. In case you don't know the name of the ship in the picture, it's the USS Banner, AGER2 (That's an Auxiliary Geographic Environmental Research Vessel #2). AGER1 was the USS Pueblo.

I spent about a month temporary duty on it when it was home ported in Japan (after the Koreans had taken the Pueblo). Even the cook on this ship needed a TS clearance, because he had to know how many days to provision for, and that info was top secret.

Scumbag Richardson and Principi toured the USS Puebolo "captured by North Korea in the 1960s that is now used to inspire anti-American sentiment in the reclusive communist regime."

The USS Pueblo is still a commissioned ship on active duty with the USN. These jerks acted as shills for North Korean propraganda. And Richardson wants to be President of the US. What a joke.

Yes, I did know, but that photo popped up on a Google image search. By the time I notice the ship number I'd already posted it.

Expect a FReepmail shortly.

I served aboard the Big “B” for two years. She was a converted AKL and her hull number was AKL 25. After June 1967 her number was AGER1. She was the ffirst ship in her class. You must have been in another NAVY.
